The long search could finally be over.
According to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports, the Sixers are in contract negotiations to make San Antonio Spurs assistant coach Brett Brown the next head coach of the Philadelphia franchise.
The New York Daily News reported that Brown had become the new head coach of the Sixers on the night of the NBA Draft, after the team shockingly traded away all-star Jrue Holiday to New Orleans for first round pick Nerlens Noel and a 2014 first-round pick.
General manager Sam Hinkie later denied that report.
Hinkie has set the Sixers up for a complete overhaul since taking over as GM, allowing Brown, if he does in fact become the next head coach, to start from scratch.
Stay tuned...
